Vessel Studio

After 20 years of experience at the Victoria & Albert, National Museum of Art and Design in London, Rachel Weschke Sendzikas sought to initiate a collective response to the many creative questions and dichotomies she had encountered over the years. Following the first lockdown in 2020, Rachel established Vessel Rooftop Studio where she facilitates workshops in hand-built ceramics and life drawing as well as other creative encounters. Extending the project to include dedicated studio space for residencies and exhibitions Vessel Studio Ibiza, along with its sister location Vessel Studio, Alicante, has become a crucible for multidisciplinary approaches to art and thinking. Both locations are small friendly environments in which to explore creativity and processes.

The workshops are about taking part rather than being outcome-led with any ideas of ‘good’ or ‘bad’ work. Rachel’s role is to ensure that participants feel inspired and supported & can technically create their personal vision. Drop-in classes run mornings and evenings and other workshops run throughout the year as well as the Vessel Studio AiR, Ibiza program that runs from November until May every year.
